OBD Compatibility

How to Check if Your Motorcycle is Compatible

Follow these steps to determine if your bike works with the CHIGEE OBD Module:

  • If your bike has ISO 15765-4 CAN Protocol and a Euro 5 (6-pin) OBD Interface:
    • No adapter is needed. Just plug in the CHIGEE OBD Module (MFP0114).
    • Compatible brands include:
      • 2019 and later: Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, Benelli, Triumph, CF Moto, KTM, Ducati, Indian, Husqvarna, Aprilia (excluding joint-venture brands like Indian Suzuki).
      • 2024 and later: Yamaha, Honda (excluding joint-venture brands like Sundiro Honda or Wuyang Honda).
  • If your bike has ISO 15765-4 CAN Protocol with another OBD Interface:
    • You’ll need an adapter cable. Confirm the OBD interface type with your dealer or consult CHIGEE's catalog.
  • If your bike uses ISO 9141 K-Line Protocol:
    • The CHIGEE OBD Module is not recommended due to high data latency.

Why Is There No Compatibility List?

CHIGEE does not provide a fixed compatibility list because motorcycle models vary widely in their OBD protocols and interfaces. Here's why creating such a list is impractical:

  • Wide Variety of Protocols: Different bikes use different communication systems, like ISO 15765-4 CAN or ISO 9141 K-Line. Tracking every variation across models is unmanageable.
  • Manufacturer-Specific Features: Some brands have unique OBD systems or proprietary interfaces, which may require adapters for compatibility.
  • Constant Model Updates: Motorcycle manufacturers release new models frequently, making it impossible to maintain an up-to-date, comprehensive list.

Instead, we offer simple guidelines to help you quickly check your bike’s compatibility.

What Data Can You Access?

The data available depends on your motorcycle’s brand and model. Some manufacturers allow extensive data sharing, while others restrict it. CHIGEE ensures you can access as much information as your bike permits.
